Max had another appointment with Dr. Bernstein yesterday. His platelet count was down to 29, not bad seeing how it has been 4 weeks. This last treatment lasted so much longer than the other one. He had another dose of the WinRho at the office after our appointment. It wasn't so bad. They hooked up his IV and took him into the "transfusion room" where they game him some benadryl and then the WinRho. All in all, we got there at 9:15 and were out by 2pm. Max was really sleepy but was a real trooper! We also found out today that his Rituxan got authorized from the insurance company. We are not sure yet when he will start that. It might be tomorrow, or we might have to wait until Monday. He is still a little tired today, which is to be expected seeing how his red blood cells count is low. He is nervous about having to go back and have another treatment so soon, but other than that he is great. That is all for now. I'm borrowing Max's computer time right now and he is begging to let him get back on. Thank you again for your concern and support. And especially to Kate who had Simon spend the night and had him ALL day yesterday! What a life saver she is. We love you all!
