Fun In St. George

Mom and Dad are rushing to get ready for their 2 year journey to the Congo in Central Africa. Only 4 more weeks until they leave:( We took a trip up to St. George for a couple of days to see them as much as we can before they go. Movies, golf, swimming and lots of food made for a terrific weekend. Thanks Mom and Dad for everything. We can't wait for Aspen Grove!

All Grown Up!

It happened yesterday! My beautiful girl rolled over!!!!! I was so not ready for this to happen. It is so sad for me that this small way she is not an infant anymore. I love to see her become more aware of people and what's going on. She even watches American Idol and Dancing With the Starts with me. She definately recognizes me and her brothers and lets you know when she doesn't like something. The first video is of Jo earlier on in the day. The second was while I was making dinner. I heard her squawking over on the carpet and kept checking on her ever few minutes. I had a feeling that it was going to happen and I should have been ready with the camera to catch it. I got there a second too late. I love this little girl!

So Hilarious!

This is what happens when your crazy 8 year old gets a hold of your camera. When Max and I first saw this we couldn't stop laughing. I was crying, it was so funny. Enjoy!

4 months old

I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  Jo is already 4 months old!  Sad for me that my baby is getting so big.  It is great to see how she changes, though.  She grabs at things and clearly recognizes her brothers.

Mommies and Muffins

Simon's school had a little gathering for all the moms.  We had breakfast (muffins & O.J.) and then stayed for a small performance by the 3rd graders.  It was fun to spend some time with Simon at his school.

Week #6

I did it!  Got through week #6 of 26 in training for the marathon.  I ran 7 miles today with my comrad, Sara.  It started to get tough around mile #5 but we stuck with it and finished.   It felt really good once it was all over.  Only 20 weeks to go!  I get tired just thinking of all those miles I'll have to run in the next few months.

These are my sweet shoes that I have become best friends with. I love them!

Amy's Shower

It has obviously been a while since I blogged. On March 30th we had a baby shower for Amy at my house. Here are some pictures of us girls that night. It is always a great time when we all get together!

Baby Jo's Blessing-April 26th, 2009

We had tons of family here and it was awesome! When things like this happen it makes me so grateful for my husband's and my family. Following the blessing we had a scrumtous ziti dinner and tons of pies! Thanks mom! It was all wonderful. Thanks to everyone who came and made it such a special day!

Congrats to me!

Just checked the SGM page and saw that I made the lottery for the St. George Marathon on October 3rd.  Only 144 days left to train.  But hey, if the contestants on the biggest loser can do it, so can I!!!

Thank you Max

Thank you Max! This is what he made me for dinner on Mothers Day! He is quite the little cook. Many times I have come downstairs to find him over the griddle making chocolate chip, mickey mouse pancakes for himself and his brothers. These were very tasty and the work that he put into cutting up the strawberries and placing them into smiley faces tells me how much he loves me. It was a fantastic dinner!

Poor Jo

I stepped outside to help my sister get her kids into their car, and when I came back inside, this is what I found.  Poor little Jo was asleep with her bow over her eyes.  So sad and so funny, I had to get a picture.

Thanks hunny!

What is this?  This is a picture of my darling daughter with my mothers day present.  Yes, that is a silk rose with a (dirty) teddy bear purchased from a gas station.  Years ago my brother in law bought my sister a similar gift for their anniversary.  When Jeff saw this he just couldn't resist.  His only request was that I give it back so that he can give it again next year.  What a guy!  Thanks babe!  The Dave Mathews Band Concert was a much better gift!  I tried to get a good picture of us, but he was whining saying the flash was too bright!

A little more action!

I've been telling a few of you about a baking class that my sister Kate and I have had in the works for a few months. Well, the time is right, and our supplies are in! So baking 101 here we come! If you are interested in attending a class or learning more about us, check out our blog ...

http://twobakingsisters.blogspot.com

(quoted from Kate's blog) "The bottom line is, that I have had 7 months of success with baking. I haven't bought a loaf of bread since September. I make pizza, bread, cinnamon rolls, butter braids, clover buns, bread sticks, cinnamon snakes (my kids favorite) and haven't cried ONCE in the meantime (over the baking that is). Now I'm not claiming to be an expert, but I have a great system, and a great sister, and since we've gone through this process together we are excited to share it with others as a tag-team-effort! Just take my crazy, energetic self and multiply it by 2, and you can imagine what kind of fun, food filled evening we can have!"

Clink on our link and leave a comment to sign up for a class.  We only have the first one scheduled, but more dates soon to come!
